      About Abbey

Grandi Sogni Ranch's trainer, Abbey Karstetter, is dedicated to training safe and reliable horses.  Abbey has been training professionally since 2008.

Abbey is from Northern Virginia where her love of horses took shape.  When she was 9, she got her first horse Chili, an Arabian Morgan cross.  She filled her early years with hunter jumper shows. At age 12 she acquired her first AQHA registered mare, High Brow Herkie. One year later, she added another AQHA mare, Salt Fork Rattler. With Herkie and Rattler, she participated in new disciplines including Team Penning, Sorting, Cowboy Racing and Ranch Versatility. They competed in local shows, winning buckles and jackets, gaining valuable experience in open classes.

Aside from showing horses, Abbey taught beginner lessons and trained other horses. In 2013 Abbey furthered her career and went to work for a local cutting horse trainer, where she trained and started horses.

In 2018, Abbey moved to Stephenville Texas to expand her training operation opening Grandi Sogni Ranch, Italian for "Big Dreams". She is now taking in horses for training and starting.
